Insurance - Information for beneficiaries

Beneficiaries of houses financed with mortgage loans granted by the National Housing Agency are under an obligation to conclude insurance policies with one of the following companies approved by the National Housing Agency:

-S.C. Asigurarea Romaneasca - Asirom Vienna Insurance Group S.A

-S.C. Omniasig Vienna Insurance Group S.A.

-S.C. Groupama Asigurari S.A.

-S.C. Generali Asigurari S.A.

-S.C. Uniqa Asigurari S.A.

The insurance companies were selected and approved by the NHA Board of Directors taking into account:
- the evolution of their financial indicators;
- the structure of their portfolio by insurance types;
- their financial position as reflected in the financial statements submitted to the competent financial authorities;
- the range of products they offer.

If the mortgage loan is granted by a NHA Partner Bank, the insurance companies the beneficiaries conclude insurance policies with are selected by that financial institution.

Important: The insurance policies must be concluded for the entire loan repayment period. Beneficiaries of houses financed with mortgage loans granted by the National Housing Agency are under an obligation to send the NHA the original copy of the insurance contract/policy ceded to the National Housing Agency, as well as a copy of the document attesting payment (receipt, money order, electronic transfer), after each payment of the insurance premium.

Insurance–Information for construction companies

The construction companies that have concluded building contracts with the NHA are under an obligation to conclude Contractors All Risk insurance policies, including third party civil liability, during the execution of the works.

The insurance companies approved by the National Housing Agency are:

-S.C. Asigurarea Romaneasca - Asirom Vienna Insurance Group S.A.

-S.C. Omniasig Vienna Insurance Group S.A.

-S.C. Groupama Asigurari S.A.

-S.C. Generali Asigurari S.A.

-S.C. Uniqa Asigurari S.A.

These companies have been approved by the NHA Board of Directors.In the case of the construction companies building mortgage-financed housing units, the list of insurance companies has also been approved by the banks that grant loans to the beneficiaries.
