New Technologies

New Technologies is a pilot-programme carried out by NHA since 2005 under the Rental Housing Units for Young People Programme in compliance with Law no. 152/1998, republished with its subsequent amendments.

This pilot-programme was designed to identify alternatives to the commonly used construction solutions, its main objective being related to the adoption of energy efficient solutions (in compliance with the provisions of Law no. 372/2005).

During the selection of construction solutions, the aspects specified below are taken into consideration:

- evolution of construction solutions;

- reduction in construction time;

- easy handling of constructive elements due to their low weight;

- best value for money;

- environmental protection in accordance with the Kyoto protocol;

So far, 184 dwellings have been built, as shown in the table below.
